Hilton Corporation

Intern, 2018

McLean, VA

Interned for the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Team. Presented an analysis of customer who specified preferences in relation to their Hilton Honors member tier level. Conlcuded that Blue Level members specify the most preferences on average and that mid-priced range hotels should work to accomodate this trend. Worked with Redshift and Netezza databases to shift and catalog large amounts of customer data using SQL queries.

SpeakUp Academy

Founder & Instructor, 2016-2019

Created SpeakUp Academy my Sophomor year to help get kids interested in politics and public speaking. I have taught classes every summer for kids in 3rd-7th grade and the session culminates in a showcase where the students present speeches on their opinions on major current affairs. Consulted for the financial planning web application. Worked on enhancing the retrieval and download of files from the AWS S3 bucket using Node.js. Enhanced the format and aesthetics of the user interfaces using HTML and CSS.

My projects

Ray Tracing Algorithm Adding ray tracing to the renderer enables many additional effects such as accurate reflections, detailed shadows, and ambient occlusion. The ray tracing functionality has been used in many recent movies, including Pixar’s latest movie ‘Cars’.

Earthquake Safety Mobile Application Led team to create a prototype of an emergency response app for earthquakes on Android Studio. Utilizes USGS RSS feed to alert users and to document their location and status for rescue or triage
Orbital Mechanics Simulation Developed algorithms to simulate the launch and orbit of the ISS and Apollo 11 using real-time data. Used parallel processing to find the optimal launch angle and velocity for gravity assist and moon slingshot maneuvers.
